[the snow has fallen quietly throughout the night and the early morning as the temperature stays low. only on the occasion does the wind kick up enough speed to create a hissing and sighing sound throughout the corridors of the HQ, blowing through the lower levels and the unsealed dome of the 5th level. those who decide to brave their stone floors bare-footed may find it a nasty surprise of winter cold.

the brave souls who were out in the wilds of the forest and the formerly-glowing lake last night will notice there's several more inches of white settled on the grounds. they may also note the calmer weather through the now frosted and fogged windows, the skies growing ever more inviting to those who wish to go out into the cold.

some poor hapless fools may also find that those elevators throughout HQ don't quite work so well when their mechanisms aren't winterized...]
