What: MY ~~hovercraft~~ FLAT IS FULL OF EEL

[God knows how this feat was managed, but somehow an intrepid soul has managed to a) kill a 10-foot eel and b) drag the sodding thing back to Apt C-2. Mostly. There's a bit of tail sticking out the open door and into the corridor, which is causing a certain doctor no end of consternation.]

I don't need to stand up for anything. The evidence speaks for itself. Not my fault imbecilic people cannot understand simple fact.

The same way that people misunderstand your habit of ignoring the things you don't care about to be the same as not knowing about them.

I was speaking with Watson early and he confirmed some...activities that he's been involved in, which he said you and Sherlock had already deduced. Is it safe? For him to continue to work for them so closely?

[clink goes the cups as he sets them down after a rinse in tea water, pouring out the first rinse as he thinks quietly]

He's bitten off more than he could chew but he doesn't know how to back out, I think.

I'm not sure. But I know that feeling when I'm about to collapse from not letting down those around me and I don't think I'm too far off.
