Quite a few of them were. It was a cultural thing.

Many of the humans I traveled with were like that. Alcohol or whatever they could get their hands on for cheap.

It does have a certain appeal.

Ah, I went out a few times to bars... by myself, most of the time.

Many of the bars we stayed at were also inns, so it was either join them, or try to sleep through their ruckus.

Not easy, in those sorts of places.
