It's not so much being around the world as how far the world got. Thusia is another dimension, totally alien world.

A lot of people have been from worlds more advanced than mine. Some with stuff like a small, 'plastic' tablet thing smaller and holding more words than a book, but without needing to turn pages.

Your clothes aren't like a lot of theirs, but seem a bit finer than the ones I see in my world. So it's harder to pinpoint what ya might be familiar with.
