What: The Long Night continued to first light

[The bonfire still burns on the highest floor, casting its light like a beacon through the dome . . . but the floors below are darker, just as quiet, threads of that same solemnity weaving down through the stonework.

A time for old memories and the ghosts that keep them. A night of peace for the restless, and home for the homeless. Long hours for remembrance, and sorrow, and faded joys.

And a night, for some few, to wander the halls, sleepless until dawn. . . . two in particular have wandered (on slow, unsteady and altogether new legs) down to the bent-open grand doors of the first floor, looking out to the jungle and water below.]

[ it’s an early early morning, the first hint of dawn enough to illuminate the complete lack of stormclouds in the sky. Looking through the windows of your rooms, or the common areas, it promises to be a pretty fine day to be outdoors.

If you’ve read the notice on the bulletin board in the last two days, or talked to Chrysos, one way or another you might be one of those gathering by the broken stone of the 4th floor fountain at this time.

[ Passing by the Common Area today, people may notice that a large number of obnoxiously pink balloons are floating pretty much everywhere around the room. In the middle of it all there's a certain god who, if the look on her face is any indicator, is pretty displeased. Arms folded at her chest and tapping her foot on the floor, there's a frown on her face and she's almost shooting glares at anyone who catches her eye. ]

This is unacceptable...! Unacceptable I say! Have you people forgotten who's the most talented and greatest god of all? Are you perhaps a group of losers? Or are you all a bunch of un-classy fools? I cannot fathom why exactly you would forget about my most gracious services...!

I have chosen to give you a chance to redeem yourselves today, as I am feeling quite generous after all, despite some of you not deserving such kindness in the least. Make certain to use this opportunity well and wisely...!

Grab the person closest to you and challenge them in a battle to the last balloon, and you might earn my favor.

[Once the dark haired goddess and the wolfish-things clear out, there are still a few bodies left behind.

And it is also around this time that a steady rain begins to pour outside. The sky is slate gray with a dark and even cloud cover. And after it's been raining for about an hour, the mist that usually moves in at night arrives several hours early, hiding the forest floor.

All in all, it's dark and difficult to see out there.]

----ELSEWHERE----

[As with before, there's a lady with nine very fluffy tails and foxlike ears in the kitchen on the third floor, cooking up a storm. Ran does love to cook, after all. If you're sensitive to spices, you may notice that whatever she's cooking smells hot.

Because what Ran is making this time, in addition to the usual soba and udon noodles, is mapo tofu. It's very, very hot.

Thankfully, she's thoughtfully put the tofu out in different bowls labeled by their spiciness. The milder ones aren't too bad at all, but if you get towards the hotter end, well... it might be literally too much for some humans to take.

Hope you have plenty of milk and bread on hand.]

[SO, monsters are dead, and Del is radiating in a way you've never seen her before. After taking care of healing any who request it from her, she heads to the large, empty room immediately west of the main hall, where the floors have always been mysteriously uneven.

And, if you watch, you will find that on the highest crop of uneven floor, about nine feet up, that a waterfall suddenly springs into existence. It rapidly flows down into a large pool, and from there into trenches, filling a semi-circular path with cool, fresh water.

In the corners of the room, deep circular holes are filled with water that begins to faintly bubble and steam.

The new baths lack any kind of divider for gender, they are simply a mostly empty room with a river circling through it and a few delightful hotsprings off to the side. The water, however, will always be fresh and clean. And while there are no plants or decorations yet to make this place quite an oasis, it is obvious from the design that that there once was such things and could be again.

Finally, Dellen adds an impressive pile of fluffy white towels to one corner. This will not be refreshed but should be enough that at least for today, no one goes without.

And as her last gesture before disappearing, adds these words to the wall at the back of the baths]

[OOC - Okay, so to recap. Afternoon of Day 42, Karl, the murderstatue that went after Aella and killed Excel and her boyfriend, was seen creeping around Level 3. A bunch of Becca's friends went chasing after him. Unfortunately, it was a trap. They got lost in Nature, and Becca was lured down to a slightly less flooded room in floor 2. There, she was brutally tortured. Karl then brought her to the shrine area, intending to kill her right on Dellen's shrine. You can read all of that here, warnings of course for violence and torture. In the end, Dellen saved Becca's life, and multiple people were there to witness the death of Karl.

Your characters may have heard commotion from the shrine area. Come poke your noses out if you like and ask what happened. Or just use this as an evening mingle post.

Everyone should note that as of just after dinnertime on day 42, the water is off. Also, Becca didn't make dinner for everyone in the cafeteria, and won't be making meals for everyone until further notice.]

[cleared up from the events of last night and whatever earlier moments of the day, the Common Area's now sporting some tables pushed against a wall with food and drink spread out for those who would want something to munch on. opposite of this would be the masked ninja that advertised said meeting, standing in front of the windows, posture in its usual slump and seemingly lazy eye distracted by the views outside. somewhere nearby will also be that blonde people may remember as advertising the police force, pointedly standing with arms crossed, making a point to keep a CLOSE EYE on the people who attend the meeting]

[ in the common room today there are two noisy blonds, standing around and putting up signs. Signs letting people know that in the event of maiming, murder, or other miscellaneous mayhem, not to take the law into their own hands, unless they want to be severely punished for their vigilante activity. No, in the case of any of the above, if they have someone they need maimed, they should get their local police force to ~~do the maiming for them~~ take care of the punishment lawfully! ]
